From Lab to Customer Engagement

I started my career as a medical biological analyst at Amsterdam Medical Center (VUmc), specializing in virology, serology, and molecular diagnostics. As a Senior Core Analyst, I combined technical expertise with training and mentoring colleagues, interns, and physician-researchers

Laying the foundation for my future steps.

Transition to Sales and Account Management

Driven by a desire to work closer to customers and building on previous sales experience, I moved into account management. In my first commercial role, I worked with laboratory kits and equipment for hospitals in the Netherlands and supported colleagues in Belgium.

Here I developed strengths in:

  • Translating technical expertise into customer solutions

  • Building trust in complex decision-making

  • Collaborating at the intersection of content and relationships

Senior Sales & Strategic Growth 

From 2008 to 2021, I worked at BaseClear BV, partnering with the management team to shape new sales strategies within Life Sciences.

As Senior Sales & Account Manager, I:

  • Managed key accounts

  • Delivered commercial training

  • Supported spin-offs and joint ventures

My role evolved from account manager to strategic sparring partner.

Start-up Experience During the Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I joined MolGen BV, a start-up specializing in PCR equipment and kits.

As Senior Field Application Specialist, I combined:

  • Sales

  • Technical support

  • Customer Training

This fast-paced environment demanded agility, clear communication, and realistic expectations.

Personal Development & Vision

My personal growth is deeply connected to my experience as a care parent, which gave me profound insights into behavior, communication, and motivation. It taught me the importance of tailoring guidance to individual needs.

Key methodologies include:

  • Contact-Oriented Play and Learning (CSL)

  • Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)

Growth and Expression

Personal development runs through everything I do. I’ve completed courses in leadership, mindset, and communication, and have over 30 years of theater experien, from youth theater to musicals.

A comedy course in 2022 sharpened my sense of timing, playfulness, and humor. Elements I consciously bring into my work.

Deepening Training and Theater Skills

Since 2025, I’ve been enrolled in a three-year program in Performing Arts & Theater at Studio Selma Susanna in Amsterdam, focusing on:

Mission

EZ (easy) sales in a complex market

With years of experience as an analyst and senior account manager in Life Sciences, my mission is to help professionals and companies in this unique sector develop effective commercial skills. I aim to bridge the gap between science and business through training, coaching, and consultancy that truly address the challenges of Life Sciences. Whether supporting scientists transitioning to customer-facing roles or guiding those without a biomedical background who aspire to a career in Life Sciences, I help them grow and excel in this fascinating field.

Training from within

I believe the individual (not the company) is the key to successful sales. Acting from your own strength and authenticity creates real value and deeper customer understanding. In the Life Sciences market, I see great potential in training analysts and researchers to become account managers, fostering personal growth while bridging science and business for stronger relationships and better insight into customer needs.
